Before NASCAR champion driver Tony Stewart became a polarizing public figure, we partnered with him to support his racing team ownership. As a driver and team businessman, it was a great fit for Office Depot which we played off continually in our creative concepts. I served as creative support for all aspects of the sponsorship including on-site hospitality at track and retail as well as car paint scheme design, print collateral and promotional programming.
Collaborating on the IEG | ESP Sponsorship Report with our content editor and digital programmer to create a weekly report on the latest in sponsorship marketing was a great way to start off our week. Love the challenge of visualizing the editorial stories that were often esoteric in nature and required some deeper thinking to keep them from being generic. I was also driven to avoid paying for stock photos and immediately upgraded the previously expensive and ubiquitous images the report used. We also created annual reports that focused on the overall sponsorship industry as well as individual business categories.
